​​The Portfolio Key Account Partner is a field‑based, strategic, customer‑facing role that serves as the primary point of contact and accountability for portfolio‑level engagement across access, pathway and system domains. 

​ 

​This is a pioneering role within the operating model, designed to lead integrated, ecosystem‑based engagement across rare and specialist disease landscapes.  

​ 

​Acting as a single point of accountability for territory and key account management, the role builds deep partnerships with key centres of excellence, thought leaders, and senior healthcare stakeholders, aligning on shared goals while driving portfolio performance and delivering agreed sales outcomes. 

​ 

​The role is responsible for creating and executing high‑quality, cross‑portfolio account plans aligned to brand strategy, customer needs, and local healthcare system priorities, including Integrated Care System (ICS) considerations. It leverages analytics, KPIs, CRM data, and digital tools to inform decisions, adapt plans, and deliver impactful, personalised engagement through in‑person, virtual and hybrid channels.

​Blending strong scientific knowledge, commercial acumen, and customer centricity, the Portfolio Key Account Partner builds clinical advocacy by engaging healthcare professionals, developing advocates, and supporting appropriate scientific exchange in line with compliance requirements.  

​ 

​The role promotes the portfolio to maximise sales performance while ensuring clear separation of promotional and non‑promotional interactions. 

​ 

​Working in close collaboration with Medical, Scientific Engagement Partner (SEP) Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, functional colleagues, the role orchestrates cross functional engagement to ensure effective implementation of brand strategies, customer initiatives and access solutions. This includes identifying ICS level and local access opportunities and partnering with Market Access to help address prescribing and reimbursement barriers.

​This role requires active commercial leadership, scientific engagement capability, strong orchestration skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. It carries full accountability for maximising portfolio value at account and territory level, ensuring accurate CRM management and reporting, and contributing to national projects and capability‑building initiatives for the wider Key Account Management community—all while operating with agility, integrity and in full compliance with local codes and regulations.

​​Key Responsibilities 

​ 

  • ​Act as the single point of accountability for assigned key accounts, ensuring cohesive portfolio‑level engagement across access, pathway, and system domains. 

​ 

  • ​Engage key centres of excellence, thought leaders, top scientific experts, and strategic stakeholders through a multi‑pronged, ecosystem‑based approach to build long‑term partnerships and advocacy. 

​ 

  • ​Build strong clinical advocacy by engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs), identifying and developing advocates, and leveraging appropriate multi‑channel platforms in line with agreed brand strategies and compliance requirements. 

​ 

  • ​Promote the portfolio to maximise performance and sales impact through effective in‑person, virtual, and hybrid customer engagement, delivering a personalised and seamless customer experience. 

​ 

  • ​Achieve sales and performance targets through effective territory ownership, key account management, and disciplined execution of integrated account plans. 

​ 

  • ​Create, implement, and continuously refine high‑quality account plans aligned to portfolio and brand strategy, customer needs, local pathways, and access realities, ensuring measurable outcomes for both customers and the business. 

​ 

  • ​Identify ICS‑level and local access opportunities and work closely with Market Access colleagues to understand, address, and help remove prescribing and reimbursement barriers. 

​ 

  • ​Ensure effective execution of brand strategies, customer initiatives, and multichannel engagement plans in collaboration with Medical, SEP, Market Access, Marketing, functional teams. 

​ 

  • ​Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to orchestrate timely, compliant, and value‑adding engagement, sharing insights and ensuring alignment across medical, commercial, and access activities. 

​ 

  • ​Leverage analytics, CRM data, KPIs, and performance metrics to monitor progress, inform decisions, adapt account strategies, and optimise customer engagement plans. 

​ 

  • ​Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records, including customer mapping, activity documentation, insights capture, and timely reporting in line with company standards. 

​ 

  • ​Lead or contribute to national projects, pilots, and best‑practice initiatives, and support training, capability building, and upskilling for the wider Key Account Management community. 

​ 

  • ​Operate with agility, strategic focus, and entrepreneurial mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance portfolio impact, customer value, and patient outcomes. 

​ 

  • ​Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with local codes, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining clear separation between promotional and non‑promotional interactions.

​Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • ​Strong ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical concepts credibly across multiple therapeutic areas, enabling engagement in high‑level scientific and clinical discussions with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and scientific experts. 

​ 

  • ​Deep understanding of healthcare systems, market dynamics, pricing and access strategies, including payer environments, Integrated Care Systems (ICS), and stakeholder interdependencies across the care pathway. 

​ 

  • ​Proven ability to uncover deep customer, system and ecosystem insights to design, execute and adapt high‑quality account and territory plans aligned to portfolio and brand strategy, customer needs, and business objectives. 

​ 

  • ​Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive portfolio performance and achieve sales and performance targets through effective territory ownership, key account management, and high‑quality execution. 

​ 

  • ​Demonstrated capability to build strong clinical advocacy by engaging healthcare professionals, identifying and developing advocates, and leveraging compliant multi‑channel engagement approaches. 

​ 

  • ​Excellent collaboration and orchestration skills, enabling effective cross‑functional working with Medical, MSL, Market Access, Marketing, PRM and HQ teams to deliver integrated, customer‑centric solutions. 

​ 

  • ​Highly effective communication, influence, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, align diverse stakeholders, and operate credibly with senior clinical and non‑clinical decision makers.

  • ​Ability to manage complex accounts and healthcare ecosystems with multiple stakeholders, touchpoints and priorities, while maintaining a clear strategic focus.

  • ​Strong digital and data literacy, with the ability to use CRM systems, analytics, KPIs and performance data to inform decision‑making, monitor impact, personalise engagement, and adapt plans over time.

  • ​Solid understanding of omnichannel and hybrid engagement strategies, with a strong interest in continuously learning and applying digital tools and insights to enhance customer experience and portfolio impact.

​Description of Physical Demands 

  • ​Responsibilities may require working outside of “normal” hours to meet business demands. 
  • ​The size of territory will necessitate appropriate management of travel requirements to ensure coverage of customers as directed by the management team. 
  • ​The incumbent must reside within the territory of their responsibility.   
  • ​Remote and multi-channel engagement will require home office working for some of the time.

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is:

$132,000.00 - $198,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual pay decisions.    This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz/Celator, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz’s Long Term Equity Incentive Plan. 

The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in various benefits offerings, including, but not limited to, Extended Health Care, Dental, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, RRSP, and paid vacation.
