Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Vice President, Channel Sales

ABB's Installation Products business is comprised of 38 marquee brands, within the Thomas & Betts (T&B) portfolio. The business is focused on reciprocal partnerships with our channel partners, providing high quality products while stimulating new demand.

The Electrification Installation Products ("ELIP") National Account Manager for Graybar, will represent the T&B business, speaking for all aspects of the ELIP organization. The NAM will collaborate with functional stakeholders to execute ELIP's go to market strategy. Our candidate will be measured on total account growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. The NAM will also lead all contract negotiations including rebate programs, MSA and any special situations, representing ELIP. The NAM will coordinate account plans and engagement with the C&I regions, ensuring clarity and familiarity of local account plans.

This role is open to remote candidates located within the United States with the ability to travel an estimated 50% of the time (#LI-Remote).

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Manage the total customer relationship with ABB and Graybar. Develop the relationship between ABB and this Strategic Account at all levels both within ABB and within the customer.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for issue resolution, overseeing the customer complaint process and ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all interactions with ABB.
  • Develop and execute account plans, including executive relationship strategies, coverage plans, profitability growth priorities, project targets, and required account and technical resources.
  • Use strong business and market understanding to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive factors, while providing regular reports, briefings, and reviews through agreed processes.
  • Actively participate in the ELIP community to share ideas, expertise and lessons learned with other NAMs and teams, to promote cross-ABB learning and to identify new solution possibilities.


Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or business administration or technical field / advanced degree desirable
  • 7+ years related experience
  • Sales experience of a $25M + business
  • Candidates should possess exceptional analytical, communication, leadership, collaboration, solutions-oriented, and customer-orientation skills and ability to operate with autonomy.
  • Senior Account Management experience
  • Understanding and experience with full portfolio of products and services (including power distribution one-line and installation products)
  • Candidates must already possess work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $190,400 annually and is bonus eligible.
