Full Job Description
The Facial Plastic Surgeon provides comprehensive evaluation, surgical treatment, and follow-up care for patients requiring cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, head, and neck. This physician delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for adult and adolescent patients, combining strong clinical judgment, surgical precision, and excellent communication skills. This physician is fellowship-trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and committed to evidence-based care, patient safety, and collaborative practice in an outpatient and surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients requiring cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, head, and neck
  2. Perform comprehensive consultations, physical examinations, and preoperative assessments
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, functional needs, medical history, and clinical indications
  4. Perform facial plastic and reconstructive procedures in office-based, ambulatory, or hospital settings as appropriate
  5. Provide postoperative care, monitor healing and outcomes, and manage complications when necessary
  6. Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, benefits, recovery expectations, and follow-up care

Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery or Plastic Surgery, as applicable
  • Completion of an accredited Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship preferred or required based on practice needs
  • Board certified or board eligible in the physician's primary specialty; subspecialty certification in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery preferred
  • Active and unrestricted medical license, or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable state
  • DEA registration and controlled substance authority as required
  • Demonstrated experience in cosmetic and reconstructive facial procedures preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation systems

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Specialty Care Networks' salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
