Full Job Description
The Nurse Administrator establishes and maintains an environment that promotes and supports professional practice. Determines that approved standards of patient care and nursing practice are utilized in all areas providing nursing care. Responsible for nursing and medical team operational processes and ongoing quality assessment and performance improvement process. Serves as a role model in leadership abilities, applications of principles of teaching, management, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates a commitment to goal oriented, individualized patient care.
  2. Conducts regular nursing staff meetings to facilitate goal attainment and promote communication.
  3. Assumes ongoing responsibility for evaluating staff performances on a timely basis. Intervenes/counsels when necessary.
  4. Schedules for appropriate coverage and utilization of clinical staff.
  5. Assumes 24-hour responsibility for the management of the ASC and clinical operations.
  6. Aids staff members in functioning according to the responsibilities of their positions.

Requirements
  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Licensing: Possess a valid Maryland Registered Nurse License.
  3. Demonstrates clinical expertise in pre and post-op ambulatory surgical nursing
  4. Equivalent of two (2) years clinical expertise in OR, Critical Care, or ambulatory care nursing.
  5. One (1) year of supervisory level experience.
  6. Current BLS/ACLS and PALS certification.
  7. Participation in continuing education
  8. Participation in professional nursing societies related to ambulatory care
  9. Certification in the field of OR Nursing desired.

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Specialty Care Networks' salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
