Full Job Description
The Practice Administrator is responsible for the overall management and administration of an ENT office. This includes overseeing financial operations, personal, marketing and patient relations. The administrator will work closely with the physician(s) to ensure the practice is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial operations of the practice, including budgeting, billing, collections, financial reporting, and daily financial management tasks
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, training, and performance reviews of staff, and employee relations
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the practice and attract new patients
  • Maintain and improve patient relations through effective communication and customer service, including responding to complaints and developing process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and accreditation standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and labor laws
  • Collaborate with the physician(s) to develop and implement policies and procedures for the practice, and document processes and maintain records

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field; or 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, business administration, finance, accounting, management, or a related area, including increasing leadership responsibility
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive healthcare management experience required, preferably in a physician practice, ambulatory care setting, or specialty medical practice.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience managing multiple departments and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, revenue cycle management, billing, collections, accounts receivable, and operational oversight.
  • Experience with physician practice management, healthcare compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
