DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, manage, and monitor all operational aspects of field operations.
  • Manage workforce utilization to optimize billable hours while maintaining safety, quality, and employee well-being.
  • Coordinate regularly with Sales and Operations teams to ensure alignment on project pipeline, resource planning, customer expectations, and execution strategies.
  • Perform related duties as required.


Workforce Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and implement staffing plans to support Mechanical Field Services business requirements.
  • Work with management, contractor agencies, and business partners to obtain necessary resources.
  • Cultivate and foster a high-performance culture through training, performance management, career development, rewards, and recognition.
  • Oversee employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, counseling, and discipline as required.


Business Development & Sales Support

  • Identify opportunities for the development of new services.
  • Support sales teams in promoting and expanding field service offerings through:
    • Matching company capabilities with customer needs.
    • Creating quotations for specialized scopes of work.
    • Defining technical scope to ensure clear understanding by all stakeholders.
  • Meet regularly with Sales and Operations personnel to align with upcoming projects and opportunities


Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
  • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize performance.
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive quality, safety, and consistency of field service activities through development and maintenance of:
    • Documented work processes and procedures.
    • Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
    • Job execution checklists.


Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management

  • Understand and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Instruct employees on safe work practices and company safety requirements.
    • Correct unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
    • Enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
    • Ensure timely completion of required safety training.
    • Report and investigate injuries, accidents, and near-miss incidents.
    • Conduct worksite inspections and implement corrective actions to eliminate hazards.
    • Conduct periodic safety meetings.
    • Complete required safety training by established deadlines


Strategic Planning & Organizational Alignment

  • Support departmental and organizational objectives through operational planning and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and business partners to ensure execution strategies support business growth and customer requirements.
  • Align staffing, resources, processes, and service delivery capabilities with business objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree required. High School degree combined with years of experience accepted.
  • Demonstrated experience in field service operations supporting control valves, isolation valves, pressure relief devices, rotating equipment, field machining, welding, bolting, or other mechanical maintenance activities.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Good level of PC proficiency including MS Office products, Windows operating systems, and networking.
