OverviewThis position is for a 2nd Shift Nuclear Test Operations Electrical (NTO-E) Production Radiological Controls (PRC) Operations Supervisor to support Virginia and Columbia New Construction, 768 EOH, and PSA.
The Operations Supervisor will direct five to ten Electrical Technicians in the performance of nuclear work and testing on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the safe and efficient use of manpower and resources.
Candidates will be responsible for reviewing applicable technical work documents, briefing technicians on the execution of the job, and has overall responsibility of test equipment assembly, installation, and operations on new construction and commissioned submarines.
Extensive interfacing with Shift Test Engineers, Electrical Test Engineers, and Ship27s Force involving reactor plant testing is required along with communication and interaction with various Engineering Organizations.
The applicant must be medically able and willing to qualify as a Production Radiological Control Supervisor to obtain and maintain dosimetry and supervise nuclear work in radiological areas.
The individual is expected to support work at the Shipyard, SubBase or Quonset Point and during off-shift hours, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical equipment operations
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Nuclear Test and Electrical Trade functions
- Working knowledge of the Corporate Nuclear Power Manual requirements
- Previous Operations Supervisor experience
