Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Engineer / Cisco Umbrella Engineer to support enterprise network modernization and security initiatives. This role is responsible for administering Cisco Umbrella, supporting enterprise networking infrastructure, troubleshooting production network issues, and contributing to infrastructure modernization projects across a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise, hands-on Cisco Umbrella administration experience, and the ability to independently manage enterprise network operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer and support enterprise-wide Cisco Umbrella deployments and ongoing expansion initiatives.
• Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco Umbrella policies, filtering rules, security controls, and exceptions.
• Troubleshoot application connectivity issues related to Cisco Umbrella and enterprise networking.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams to resolve complex network and connectivity issues.
• Support migration of business applications and services into Cisco Umbrella.
• Document network configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting activities.
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco networking infrastructure across enterprise environments.
• Support routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and core network services.
• Assist with firewall implementation, security initiatives, and network modernization projects.
• Monitor and maintain network availability across multiple enterprise locations.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployments, and enterprise network enhancement projects.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including switches, fiber connections, and cabling within data center environments.
• Support data center operations, equipment deployments, and infrastructure maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Network Engineering or Network Administration experience.
• Strong experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience administering Cisco Umbrella.
• Experience creating and managing Cisco Umbrella policies, filtering rules, and security configurations.
• Experience troubleshooting production enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
• Experience supporting VPN technologies and remote connectivity solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure across multi-site environments.
• Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Experience with Cisco Duo.
• Experience administering enterprise firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise data center environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site enterprise networks.
• Experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Security-focused networking experience and knowledge of enterprise network security best practices.

Certifications
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Preferred).
