Position Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible in providing expert level network troubleshooting and for creating network standards, documenting network environments, and converting business requirements to technical specifications/designs. This position will validate new network solutions through proof of concepts and pilots.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Researches new technology advancements and conduct evaluations focused on optimizing and improving network configuration, performance, capacity, availability, and operational reliability
  • Plans, designs, implements and documents all network related projects
  • Defines and maintains technology standards
  • Establishes and maintains backup and version-control of network configurations
  • Troubleshoots network designs and make recommendations for system fixes and enhancements
  • Makes recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs
  • Partners with cross-functional peers from both infrastructure and application teams
  • Manages hardware/software vendors, service providers and 3rd party partners
  • Lead network related work for Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Provides final tier of support for all networking issues including routing, switching, WIFI, and firewall.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Network Engineering role in enterprise environment with geographically dispersed locations.
  • 8+ years of specific experience with Cisco Meraki switch/WIFI, Palo Alto NGFW, Infoblox DDI, Cisco ASA, ISR, ASR, Catalyst/Nexus switches, SDWAN and SASE
  • Mature understanding of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, Ethernet, DSL, DMVPN, QoS, COS, SNMP, VoIP, VLANS, Subnetting, Supernetting, Trunking, Virtual Networking, IPS, WLAN, WAN acceleration, URL filtering, NetFlow, network monitoring systems, cloud service providers such as MS Azure and OCI.
  • Extensive experience with supporting and troubleshooting global networks which includes multi-site, high-availability, load-balanced infrastructure solutions (active/active).
  • Cisco CCNP or related industry certification required
