We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Murex Operations Business Analyst to support and manage BAU issues for back-office Operations users. You will work closely with teams such as EQD Middle Office, Middle Office, Confirmations, and Settlements to identify and understand issues, build requirements, conduct testing, and coordinate mini-projects that arise. This role also involves collaboration with the COE or Murex vendors for issue resolution and development, as well as presenting updates on Jira prioritization to senior stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage BAU issues for back-office Operations users and resolve system-related challenges
  • Collaborate with EQD Middle Office, Middle Office, Confirmations, and Settlements teams to gather and document functional requirements
  • Liaise with the COE or Murex vendor to explain issues, aid in their resolution, and support necessary developments
  • Coordinate and oversee mini-projects emerging from Jira tickets, ensuring timely delivery of solutions
  • Present to senior stakeholders on the monthly Jira prioritization and updates related to BAU activities
  • Facilitate workshops to engage and gather input from stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Translate detailed business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Establish and document analysis outputs, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage defect logs and actively liaise with testing teams during the testing lifecycle
  • Ensure effective delivery of settlements and confirmations through strong knowledge of back-office Murex processes
  • Run SQL queries, support shell scripting in Unix environments, and provide technical insight into Murex interfaces when required

REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years of experience working with Murex
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or finance domains
  • Strong knowledge of back-office Murex processes such as settlements and confirmations
  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery at every phase
  • Skills in documenting analysis outputs and capturing detailed requirements
  • Strong ability to capture detailed requirements and maintain traceability throughout all phases of a project
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with running workshops to gather input and validate requirements with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in coordinating the testing lifecycle with hands-on defect management
