Job Summary
Microservices Developer responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, Kotlin, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. The role focuses on modernizing legacy platforms, developing scalable services, supporting back-office systems, and contributing to AI initiatives in an Agile environment. The position will collaborate closely with business teams, Product Owners, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver roadmap initiatives and production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and backend applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Kotlin.
• Develop and integrate GraphQL services and APIs to support enterprise applications.
• Modernize legacy applications by refactoring existing platforms into scalable microservices architectures.
• Develop enhancements for back-office systems supporting pricing, product management, inventory management, and related business capabilities.
• Implement and maintain solutions using Kubernetes, Kafka, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply Java design patterns, data structures, coding best practices, and software engineering principles.
• Participate in backlog implementation, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and contribute to roadmap deliverables.
• Collaborate with business teams, Product Owners, architects, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to AI-focused initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance application capabilities and development processes.
• Troubleshoot application and service issues and support continuous improvement of the platform.
Required Qualifications
• 5-10 years of experience in Java development, including hands-on experience with Java 17 and/or Java 21.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
• Experience with GraphQL and Kotlin.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
• Strong understanding of Java design patterns, data structures, and coding best practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with backlog implementation, technical documentation, and roadmap deliverables.
• Strong coding proficiency and understanding of Java fundamentals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating applications and services with ServiceNow.
• Experience modernizing legacy SPA platforms and transitioning applications to microservices architectures.
• Experience supporting pricing, product management, inventory management, or other enterprise back-office systems.
• Experience contributing to AI-focused technology initiatives
