Job Summary Hybris Developer responsible for developing, customizing, and enhancing SAP Commerce solutions supporting enterprise commerce capabilities across reservation, spa, inventory management, and back-office initiatives. The role focuses on backend development, SAP Commerce customization, integration with custom microservices, modernization of legacy platforms, and implementation of scalable commerce solutions. The position will collaborate with technical and business teams and leverage AI coding assistance to improve development productivity. Key Responsibilities • Develop, customize, enhance, and maintain backend applications using SAP Commerce (Hybris) and related enterprise commerce technologies. • Support modernization initiatives involving migration of functionality from legacy reservation and spa booking platforms to modern commerce solutions. • Develop enhancements for inventory management and back-office functionality across enterprise commerce environments. • Integrate SAP Commerce with custom microservices and other enterprise applications. • Develop and maintain Java-based backend components, including applications using monolithic architectures where applicable. • Customize SAP Commerce functionality based on business and technical requirements. • Work with SAP Commerce modules such as Product Catalog, Promotions, Order Management, Customer Support, and Backoffice. • Support relational database integrations and data-related development activities. • Develop and maintain Solr search indexing and related commerce search functionality where applicable. • Use AI coding assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development productivity and code quality. • Participate in enterprise-scale development initiatives and contribute to technical design and implementation decisions. • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. • Troubleshoot application issues and support ongoing enhancements and modernization activities. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience developing backend applications. • Hands-on experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris) backend development and customization, or strong backend development experience with comparable enterprise commerce platforms such as SAP or Salesforce. • Strong experience with Java-based backend systems, including monolithic architectures. • Strong understanding of Java internals, customization, and scripting. • Experience integrating SAP Commerce with custom microservices. • Experience using AI coding assistance tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Experience working with enterprise-scale applications and development environments. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SAP Commerce modules including Product Catalog, Promotions, Order Management, Customer Support, and Backoffice. • Experience with relational databases. • Experience with Solr search indexing. • Experience working on enterprise-scale commerce projects. • Lead-level experience in backend development or enterprise commerce implementations.
