Microservices and ETL Developer/Support
Lead I - Software Engineering
UST is searching for skilled Microservices Developers with strong experience in Node.js and Python to design and build scalable, high-performance microservices-based applications along with some ETL experience using AWS Services.
The opportunity:
• Design and develop scalable microservices using Node.js and Python
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement business requirements
• Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and reliability of applications
• Perform debugging, testing, and optimization of services
• Follow best practices in microservices architecture and cloud-native development
• Experience in ETL pipeline development and maintenance using AWS tools and services.

What you need:
• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Python-based development
• Experience in Microservices Architecture
• Expertise in building and consuming REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS ETL and data services, including Glue, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, AppFlow, and DynamoDB
• Knowledge of Docker / containerization (preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Philadelphia
Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
