Summary

Withers is seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our New York office. This role is integral to our New York, US and global marketing teams, and is focused on supporting and elevating a wide range of marketing and business development initiatives, with an emphasis on digital marketing projects. You will report to the Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of US Marketing & Business Development. You will actively work with our west coast and London-based digital team.

For New York, the expected hourly range for this position is between $38 - $48. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This role is deemed hybrid and expected to be in the office 3 days a week.

The Role

Digital Marketing, Website and Content Management Coordinator
• Work with the firm's content management system (Kentico) and related digital tools to create, edit, publish and maintain digital content, including attorney biographies, practice and industry pages, insights, events, campaign pages and more.
• Support accuracy, currency, user experience, brand consistency, search visibility and client engagement across all web content.
• Be part of the 'in progress' project to upgrade our Kentico 13 content management to Kentico Xbyk, attending project meetings and assisting with user acceptance testing of the upgrade and other ad hoc project tasks.
• Be part of an upcoming project to build out an en-us version of our website to better target US t raffic, including contributing to planning meetings, supporting the microsite build and testing phases, and assisting with ongoing maintenance and optimisation following launch.
• Coordinate with the London-based digital team on website updates, platform improvements, content workflows, and digital best practices.
• Support content management across additional digital platforms, which may include video, podcast or digital publication tools.
• Helping to maintain the firm's digital presence via GoogleMyBusiness, Wikipedia etc

Social Media and Digital Communications
• Draft, prepare, schedule and publish social media posts across the firm's social channels, including LinkedIn and Instagram, in accordance with firm policies and brand guidelines.
• Create and edit social media assets, including branded graphics, images and campaign materials.
• Support the development of social media posts for campaigns, events, thought leadership, awards, rankings, attorney announcements and other profile-raising initiatives.
• Monitor social media activity and engagement, helping to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Help educate internal stakeholders on digital and social media best practices to support employee advocacy and consistent brand presentation.

Design, Image Editing and Digital Assets
• Use Photoshop and/or Adobe Creative Suite tools to create and edit visually compelling, on-brand marketing materials, using the templates provided, including social media assets, invitations, sponsorship ads, event collateral, newsletters, presentations, brochures and other digital materials. Where appropriate, coordinate with our external designers.
• Source appropriate imagery from approved stock image libraries and ensure selected images align with the firm's brand style, storing in shared locations for the wider team to access.
• Help maintain consistency of visual identity across digital marketing materials and channels.

SEO, GEO, Analytics and Reporting
• Support SEO initiatives to improve search visibility, website performance and engagement, working closely with the wider digital team and external digital agency.
• Assist with GEO - Generative Engine Optimization - efforts, including helping content perform effectively in AI-enabled environments.
• Use analytics and reporting tools and dashboards to track, analyze and report on website traffic, social media performance, and campaign activity.
• Prepare clear and useful reports that synthesize digital performance data and highlight insights, trends and recommended next steps.
• Stay informed on digital marketing trends, SEO, GEO, analytics, AI tools and emerging technologies, and share relevant ideas with the team.

Email Marketing, CRM and Campaign Support
• Assist with the preparation, distribution and reporting of branded newsletters, briefings, event invitations and other email marketing campaigns.
• Work with the firm's CRM and email marketing systems to support targeted communications, list management and campaign execution.
• Help track and improve email marketing performance using CRM, email management system data and analytics from social media and website traffic.
• Coordinate with relevant team members to ensure campaign materials are accurate, timely, well targeted and aligned with firm objectives.

Business Development and Marketing Support
• Support US marketing and business development initiatives, including digital campaigns, client communications, events, sponsorships, directory submissions, awards, research projects and profile-raising activities.
• Assist with research on clients, prospects, competitors, markets and industry trends to support pitches, RFPs, campaigns and marketing initiatives.
• Track, coordinate and calendar marketing projects, digital campaigns and related business development activity.
• Help organize project information, next steps, timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.
• Support onboarding, training and knowledge-sharing around digital tools, marketing technology, processes and systems.

Collaboration and Digital Strategy
• Participate actively in team calls, digital planning meetings and project discussions.
• Collaborate closely with the US Business Development and Marketing team, the London-based digital team, the CRM team and other global colleagues.
• Build strong working relationships with the London-based digital team, external SEO, CMS, eMarketing and design agencies to help support and deliver digital and brand projects.
• Contribute ideas, observations and practical recommendations to support the firm's digital strategy.
• Work constructively with internal stakeholders, attorneys and business services teams to understand needs, solve problems and deliver strong digital outcomes.
• Support ad hoc digital, marketing and business development projects as required.
• Monitoring the digital inbox and responding to internal inquiries.

Key Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience, preferably in a law firm, financial services, or other professional services environment
  • Have a strong digital and software skillset, including in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of InterAction (or another CRM system), Vuture (or another email marketing system),and experience utilizing social media tools in a professional setting is a plus.
  • Be enthusiastic and friendly with the demonstrated ability to work with people at various levels within the firm.
  • Approach projects with a flexible and adaptable mindset and have a willingness to learn.
  • Be curious and resourceful.
  • Demonstrate a capacity to self-start and work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.
  • Have strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability of prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Interact credibly, diplomatically and with integrity.
  • Availability to attend/run events early morning (breakfast time) or evenings will be necessary, as required.
