Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Manufacturing Process Engineer at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Repair Center Factory at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of systems that support our internal processes, identifying and improving manufacturing processes, and leading capacity enhancement projects. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, the Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will ensure that production operations are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with quality standards.

This role will be based at our new factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, and will initially coincide with the factory's construction. During this phase, we will focus on developing our processes, refining our offerings, and collaborating closely with a high-performance team. This will involve all aspects of the commercial setup to ensure we are well-prepared to meet the needs of our customers effectively when factory operations start.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure timely, high-quality production.
  • Plan and execute cross-functional projects related to shop floor layout, Lean Manufacturing, and tooling/fixture needs.
  • Collaborate with teams to drive process improvements, cost savings, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Research and implement innovative tools to support and accelerate manufacturing.
  • Analyze factory capacity and develop strategies to maximize production output.
  • Train new talents and colleagues in Lean Topics and High-Performance Team practices.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, industrial, or mechatronic engineering.
  • 5+ years experience working with transformers in a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work optimally with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office programs, and Autodesk CAD programs.
  • Willingness to relocate to the Charlotte, NC area if not already local (relocation assistance provide).
