Purpose

The Manager, UHNW Business Intelligence and Reporting supports the Senior UHNW Business Manager, Advanced Planning & Services, by managing and maintaining Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) data aggregation, data analytics, reporting, and business tools, including Salesforce, Power BI, PowerPoint reporting activities. The role delivers actionable insights, drives process improvement, and ensures data integrity, transparency, and consistency across UHNW reporting environments.

The role contributes to UHNW central reporting led by Advanced Planning & Services (APS). It also supports the development of Scotia Global Intelligence (SGI) data aggregation in collaboration with Advanced Planning & Services. The role focuses on execution, SGI data aggregation, UHNW data analysis and reporting support, data quality, process discipline, and stakeholder coordination rather than enterprise strategy ownership.

The incumbent also collaborates with other internal stakeholders, including Analytics team, Technology team, and other Wealth Management partners.

The role reports directly to the Senior UHNW Business Manager, Advanced Planning & Services.

Accountabilities

Manage and Maintain Data Analytics and Business Reporting by:
  • Maintaining centralized tracking and reporting for UHNW APS and SGI activity, results, and key business performance metrics.
  • Support preparation of dashboards, scorecards, PowerPoint materials, and management reports using Salesforce, Power BI, Excel, and related reporting tools.
  • Supporting the tactical and strategic direction of APS and SGI through analysis of business trends, client engagement activity, referral opportunities, and performance metrics.
  • Working with the Senior UHNW Business Manager to translate data into clear insights for leadership review and business discussions.
  • Partnering with Analytics teams to provide relevant data in a timely manner for metrics reporting.
  • Support and implement monthly and quarterly centralized reporting for the leadership team under the direction of the Senior UHNW Business Manager.
  • Identifying reporting issues, trends, and opportunities for further review by senior stakeholders.


Manage Data Insights, Quality, and Reporting Controls by:
  • Establishing and maintaining robust data control practices across UHNW reporting environments.
  • Develop processes around the collection, storage, aggregation, and analysis of data related to APS and SGI activity and results (interactions, in-progress activities, client engagements and identified/closed referral opportunities).
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, completeness, and integrity across reporting platforms and source systems.
  • Monitoring, investigating, and resolving data discrepancies, quality issues, breaks, and inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Implementing controls and monitoring processes that support reporting accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Maintaining documentation of key data definitions, reporting steps, business rules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Escalating data quality or control issues to the Senior UHNW Business Manager and appropriate partners.


Manage and Support UHNW and SGI Data Aggregation Platforms by:
  • Managing and maintaining custodial data aggregation, validation, reconciliation, and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Supporting client onboarding, implementation, and servicing of custodial data ownership structures.
  • Maintaining the SGI data aggregation Scotia Operating Model and managing ongoing enhancements.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues, breaks, and inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Partnering with platform support teams to address performance, valuation, reporting, reconciliation, and data feed issues.
  • Managing and supporting historical data remediation, data backfill activities, and client reporting enhancements.
  • Acting as a key business partner to Scotia Global Intelligence on custodial data aggregation and client reporting initiatives.
  • Developing processes to collect, store, aggregate, and analyze custodial data for Scotia Global Intelligence client files.
  • Preparing and reviewing institutional-quality client reports, including performance, allocation, and risk metrics data, using the data aggregation platform to ensure data feed accuracy.
  • In partnership with Scotia Global Intelligence ensuring client reporting outputs meet established presentation and quality standards before leadership or client-facing use.


Support and maintain Technology Enablement and Platform Administration by:
  • Acting as a day-to-day subject matter resource for Salesforce, Power BI, and related business reporting workflows.
  • Maintaining and prioritizing a roadmap of system technology enhancements and UHNW reporting improvements.
  • Supporting implementation of platform upgrades, releases, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
  • Participating in requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance activities, and deployment readiness reviews.
  • Working with Technology, Analytics, and Business teams to improve platform functionality and user experience.
  • Evaluating opportunities to automate workflows, streamline reporting processes, and reduce manual effort.
  • Leveraging emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions to improve UHNW business effectiveness and UHNW reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborating with support teams to troubleshoot issues and identify enhancement opportunities.


Support User Adoption, Training, and Change Management by:
  • Maintaining current and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for APS and SGI platforms.
  • Monitoring the APS SharePoint site to help ensure UHNW central reporting and SGI materials remain current and accessible.
  • Identifying training needs and collaborating with the Senior UHNW Business Manager to engage the change management partners to develop user enablement resources.
  • Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of training initiatives.
  • Engaging users to gather feedback, address challenges, and promote successful adoption of technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with Change Management team to implement new training guides or updates to ensure training resources are kept up to date and relevant for users.


Contribute to the effective functioning of Head Office team by:
  • Participating actively in team meetings, touch bases, and learning activities.
  • Building effective working relationships across APS, SGI, Analytics, Technology, Wealth Management, and corporate function partners.
  • Maintaining a high level of service, responsiveness, and follow-through on UHNW data aggregation and reporting deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve data aggregation efficiency, scalability, and reporting effectiveness.
  • Applying continuous improvement principles to optimize workflows, controls, and business processes.
  • Encouraging innovation, collaboration, and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities.

Education / Experience / Other Information
  • University degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data aggregation, reporting, wealth management, business management, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance management.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, including reconciliation and validation activities.
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce and reporting technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Experience managing and maintaining cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Experience within financial services or a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
