Position Summary:

The IT Manager, Technical Operations & Centralized Publications Products is responsible for partnering with Business leads to build a strategic and innovative technology roadmap and to guide product planning and execution across the full product lifecycle. The role translates business needs into clear product vision and priorities, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical delivery while ensuring that Technology Products effectively support the fast-paced, operationally critical needs of Technical Operations and Centralized Publications. The Manager leads, motivates, and develops the team responsible for delivering and supporting the portfolio, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Manager is accountable for delivering measurable business outcomes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing overall product support to help the business move quickly, safely, and effectively.

The Manager builds trusted relationships across the organization and is comfortable maintaining a visible profile with senior leaders, Business partners, and IT teams. The role requires sound judgment, the ability to shift priorities quickly, and the confidence to lead through ambiguity and complex, high-visibility work. Essential Responsibilities:
    • Own the strategic relationship with Technical Operations and Centralized Publications Business leaders and be accountable for delivering technology solutions that support their priorities and operational needs.
    • Partner with Business leads and Technology Product teams to develop and maintain a strategic, innovative roadmap and annual plan that balances long-term transformation with tactical business needs.
    • Lead product planning and prioritization, ensuring requirements, outcomes, dependencies, and sequencing are clear and aligned to business value and enterprise technology strategy.
    • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting a financial and resource plan for the assigned product portfolio.
    • Serve as the primary Technology Point of Contact (POC) for Business partners within the area of responsibility.
    • Manage the Business and IT relationship, ensuring clear requirements, transparent priorities, effective communication, and agreed service levels are maintained.
    • Provide overall product support and act as an escalation point for operational issues affecting assigned products, with availability to respond to urgent business needs.
    • Manage a portfolio of applications, products, and solutions from conception through delivery, sustainment, and retirement.
    • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and other IT organizations to align contracts, vendors, and service level agreements with business requirements and product outcomes.
    • Guide production and non-production environments through disciplined change control and release management practices.
    • Ensure product and delivery practices align with applicable audit, security, regulatory, risk, and company policy requirements.
    • Partner with other IT Managers and Technology Product leaders to drive alignment, reuse, standardization, and efficiencies across the broader Technology Products portfolio.
    • Provide direct or indirect oversight of delivery teams and vendors for strategic and tactical initiatives, ensuring work is delivered with urgency, quality, and appropriate controls.
    • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop direct and indirect team members, setting clear direction and priorities while fostering engagement, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team. Build team capability and succession planning while creating an environment where people are empowered to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced operational environment.
    • Represent IT in incident response and emergency command activities when the assigned product portfolio is impacted.
    • Ensure Technology Products supporting Technical Operations and Centralized Publications enable resilient, efficient, and customer-focused operations while meeting applicable business and compliance requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
    • Five (5) years of experience managing large portfolios, product delivery, business partners, operating budgets, and delivering large scale IT projects.
    • Three (3) years of experience in an IT/Business liaison role managing relationships with business customers.
    • Three (3) years of leadership experience.
    • Three (3) years of experience in software development or production support services.
    • Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred).
    • Available for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%).
    • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States.
    • Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
    • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Experiences Preferred:
    • Three (3) or more years of experience supporting airline Technical Operations, maintenance, engineering, centralized publications, or other operationally critical airline functions.
    • Experience partnering with Business and operational leaders to translate complex needs into technology requirements, product strategies, and actionable roadmaps.
    • Experience leading technology products or portfolios in a fast-paced environment with competing strategic and tactical priorities.
    • Experience delivering enterprise or cross-functional technology initiatives from discovery through implementation and ongoing product support.
    • Experience managing a budget and planning resources across a portfolio of products and initiatives.
    • Experience managing an entire project, product initiative, or complex workstream, including presenting recommendations and trade-offs to senior leadership.
    • Thorough knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, and the ability to connect those needs to technology outcomes.
    • Exposure to JetBlue's IT disciplines, Technology Products, and interdependencies across the enterprise.
    • Exposure to JetBlue's business units and how evolving business needs, operational priorities, and innovation opportunities should shape IT strategy.
    • Experience working with enterprise-wide planning, prioritization, or budget processes.

Crewmember Expectations:
    • Regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
    • Able to maintain a professional appearance.
    • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light aircraft cleaning.
    • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, exhibiting the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun, and Passion.
    • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System.

    • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary, including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)).
    • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls.
    • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities.
    • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Work Environment:
    • Fast-paced, collaborative technology and business environment supporting operationally critical functions; traditional office environment with frequent interaction across Business and IT teams.

Compensation:
    • The base pay range for this position is between $129,000.00 and $224,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
