Manager, People & Culture to join our purpose-driven team on a
permanent, full-time basis.As the sole People & Culture representative, you will be the main point of contact for employee experience, people development and benefits, while providing support across our strategic people & talent initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with an "HR/People Generalist" background and a varied skillset, who relish the opportunity for growth and development. This is a hands-on People role - in the same week you might be updating time-off balances, coaching a Team Lead, and planning our company retreat.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Manager, People & Culture, reporting to the Chief Consulting Officer, is responsible for a range of duties and tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
Culture & Engagement- Plan and support company-wide culture initiatives including retreats, recognition programs, celebrations, surveys and other employee engagement activities
- Facilitate and support in the delivery of company All-Hands meetings and Lunch & Learns
- Gather employee feedback through formal and informal channels, identify trends, and recommend improvements that strengthen our workplace culture
Employee Lifecycle & People Operations- Own and execute on the entire employee lifecycle - From onboarding to offboarding and everything in between
- Own and manage our HRIS, HiBob, including data updates, reporting requests, and platform customizations
- Drive our end-to-end employee recruitment lifecycle and early career support initiatives (Graduate & Co-Op programs)
- Manage our Canadian and US benefits plans through our broker and respective providers
- Support time tracking activities including managing time off balances, requests, approvals and updates
Performance & Development- Partner with our Team Leads on their team management coaching needs
- Own the end-to-end performance process including facilitating reviews, bonus calculations and designing and implementing growth and/or remedial strategies
- Manage day-to-day employee relations matters, partnering with leadership on complex or escalated cases
- Support the company Learning & Professional Development outcomes through engagement and completion monitoring of third-party platforms
- Research & evaluate new learning & development opportunities to suit our company direction & strategy
Compliance & Frameworks- Maintain and refresh our job levelling and salary banding frameworks using market benchmarking data, in partnership with leadership
- Assist in the review, risk assessment and maintenance of our compliance documents, including contracts, policies and work eligibility requirements
- Support our people strategy and provide input and advice to our leadership team
Other relevant people, culture & talent duties and initiatives will be assigned as required
Role Requirements- 7 years' progressive HR/People Operations experience with no less than 3 years in a senior generalist/people leadership capacity, ideally in the technology and/or consulting industries
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning input, including role design and reward framework application
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities across various stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desired Attributes- Further education certification/qualification or equivalent experience in a HR or Business Management field
- Experience owning HRIS and Benefits systems a considerable asset
- Experience with the Great Place to Work certification process.
- Active experience, or a demonstrated interest, in using AI tools to streamline process and increase productivity
