  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex payroll issues.

Vendor & SLA Management
  • Manage relationships with payroll providers and third-party administrators, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor provider performance, address service gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for payroll vendor delivery and issue resolution.

Garnishments & COBRA Oversight
  • Oversee administration of wage garnishments, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide oversight for COBRA-related payroll impacts, ensuring accurate deductions and alignment with benefits administration.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and documentation are in place for sensitive payroll transactions.

Audit, Reconciliation & Compliance
  • Lead payroll audit and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to final sign-off.
  • Approve payroll processing through formal sign-off procedures, ensuring all controls have been met.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

Off-Cycle Payroll Management
  • Oversee off-cycle payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and documentation.
  • Establish clear governance for off-cycle payments to minimize risk and ensure consistency.
  • Monitor trends in off-cycle activity to identify process improvement opportunities.
