About the Role
This role will report to the Global Head of Merchant Strategy & Operations, and requires working with senior leaders and teams across the business to help merchants succeed.
Your role will need to thread the needle across Strategy, Operations, Commercial and Product and other global teams.The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, collaborative execution at the most senior levels (internally, and sometimes externally), and ability to cut through ambiguity to deliver.
What You'll Do
- Work to further crystalise our global merchant strategy across priority workstreams, such as how merchants think about return on their marketing investments, globalising our approach to integrations and partnering deeply with product to co-create a new dynamic rate card and merchant incentive centre focused at first on SMB growth.
- You will need to work extremely cross functionally to drive alignment and focus across Operations, Finance, Product, Corp Dev, and Business Development teams: working across the business to drive growth, maximise retention and
- At times you will need to lead key workstreams/strategic pillars from a time to time, acting as an accelerator in business critical areas.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field
- Deep understanding of merchant operations and commercial strategy; necessary to help shape and evolve our strategy and product roadmaps.
- Data-orientation: Advanced SQL proficiency with direct experience in data-analysis and financial modeling

- Strategic mindset: Ability to consider implications of actions on the organization and prepare accordingly. You will need to excel at seeing the forest and the trees, particularly important when defining global goals.
- Planning & organization: Ability to prioritize work, consider tasks and resources, and execute systematically.
- Stakeholder Influence: expert at building and managing relationships effectively, and finding a path when there are divergent opinions at the most senior levels.
- Data driven problem solving: Ability to self serve and use data to problem solve and solution.
- Drive for results: Not afraid of setting challenging goals, driving accountability, and showing persistence, and tenacity to get the job done.
- Merchant product experience: highly regarded.
- Global mindset: Experience rolling out programs globally, or across regions.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
