Full Job Description
As an FP&A Manager for the Americas, you will support the Head of FP&A – Americas in delivering financial planning, forecasting, and performance insights across Northland’s Americas operating assets and development projects. You will play a key role in coordinating budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts for the region, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate objectives. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Asset Management, and Development, you will help maintain models, update forecasts and provide insights into key business drivers and market trends. You will also help improve FP&A tools and processes (e.g., updated process for Excel-based models and Power BI) to help enable strong, data-driven decision-making across the Americas business. This role will be based in Toronto, and you will be expected to work from our corporate office a minimum of 4 times a week in line with our hybrid work model. Key Responsibilities: - Support the annual budget, long-range plan, and quarterly reforecast processes for the Americas region - Analyze asset performance monthly, including variance analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making - Partner with Operations, Asset Management, and Development teams to maintain updated asset forecasts and financial models - Monitor asset performance and provide insights on production, pricing, costs, and commercial factors - Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs - Provide insights on financial risks, opportunities, and trends to support regional leadership - Enhance and maintain FP&A tools and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI) - Other ad hoc duties as required Who You Are: - Methodical and organized: You naturally work in a methodical way and relish the opportunity to add structure and order to your work. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related field. - CPA, CFA or other advanced designation. - 4+ years of experience in any of the following disciplines: capital markets, FP&A, investment banking, equity research, corporate development. - Experience with financial planning platforms (Workday Adaptive, or others). - Experience working with a public company and/or public market investors. - Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word. Power BI experience is considered an asset. - Strong understanding of financial statements, external/internal financial metrics, valuation concepts, financial analysis, and reports.
