Full Job Description
About You:

You thrive in a vibrant, entrepreneurial organization where your ideas are valued. You are motivated by goals, a self-starter, and enjoy wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing fintech environment.

We are hiring a Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis, to lead a combined mandate across financial reporting, IFRS 9/ECL valuation analysis, management reporting, and finance automation. This role turns complex financial data into accurate reporting and clear analysis that supports decision-making. This high-visibility individual contributor role suits someone who can explain ECL movements and financial results to senior stakeholders while improving data feeds, reconciliations, models, and documentation. You will own key recurring processes, strengthen controls and auditability, and help modernize how the work gets done. You will be a partner with Finance and Finance Data Systems leaders, using analyst support as needed to deliver accurate, timely, decision-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

IFRS 9, ECL and Valuation Analysis

  • Perform recurring IFRS 9/ECL valuation analyses, including historical data diagnostics, assumptions, sensitivities, management review materials, and audit support
  • Analyze and explain drivers of changes in ECL rates, valuation outputs, loss trends, portfolio mix, and other key credit performance indicators
  • Maintain source-to-output documentation, model support, assumption support, sensitivity analysis, change logs, and control documentation with strong audit-ready discipline
  • Identify valuation-impacting data quality issues and coordinate remediation with Finance Data Systems and Finance stakeholders

Financial Reporting, Close and Governance

  • Support monthly and quarterly close and business performance reporting across multiple entities, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and clear commentary
  • Prepare and review financial statement note support, management reporting, board materials, covenant calculations, and lender/credit-facility reporting support
  • Support compliance with applicable accounting standards, lender agreements, internal controls, and external audit requirements
  • Strengthen review processes, reconciliations, version control, and documentation for recurring reporting outputs

Management Reporting, BI and Business Insight

  • Develop financial models, pro-forma analysis, and management reporting that help senior finance and business leaders understand performance and make decisions
  • Help centralize and enforce consistent definitions of financial KPIs from a single source of truth
  • Partner with Finance Data Systems to define reporting and data requirements, review proposed changes for finance/reporting impact, and validate outputs before they are used in recurring reporting
  • Turn large, complex data sets into clear narratives, practical recommendations, and executive-ready presentations

Automation and Process Modernization

  • Automate recurring valuation, ECL, reporting, reconciliation, and audit-support documentation using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and SQL/ODBC connections
  • Improve data feeds and reporting pipelines to reduce manual work, refresh failures, version-control issues, and points of failure
  • Document processes so they are repeatable, transparent, resilient, and easy to review
  • Responsibly test AI-assisted analysis or workflow improvements within appropriate review, control, and model-risk expectations

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with FP&A, Financial Reporting, Finance Data Systems, Tax, and business teams to deliver reliable reporting and analysis
  • Monitor, escalate, and resolve issues that affect financial reporting, valuation outputs, or recurring analysis
  • Coordinate inputs and review work from analysts or contractors when needed, while maintaining clear ownership of final outputs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Business, or a related field
  • CPA designation or near completion. MBA or CFA is an asset
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, financial analysis, credit analysis, valuation analysis, or a related finance/data role
  • Strong accounting and reporting foundation, with experience supporting month-end/quarter-end close, management reporting, audit support, controls, or technical accounting work
  • Strong analytical capability with historical performance data, financial models, and business-driver analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with Power Query and/or Power BI with focus on automation. Working knowledge of SQL, ODBC connections, or direct database reporting is strongly preferred
  • Ability to explain complex financial, credit, and data-driven outputs clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, documentation discipline, and comfort operating in a growing, evolving environment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple ongoing deliverables
  • Experience with IFRS 9, expected credit loss, credit provisioning, allowance analysis, revenue recognition, or valuation analysis
  • Experience in banking, lending, credit, consumer finance, or fintech
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards, data models, DAX measures, Power BI Service reporting, or automated refresh/reporting processes
  • Experience improving finance data governance, reconciliations, process documentation, or source-to-output controls
  • Curiosity about automation and AI-enabled workflows, with good judgment around controls, review, and evidence
