Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis in support of the Mortgage Servicing organization. Partners with servicing leadership to evaluate financial performance, optimize operational efficiency, support strategic initiatives, and drive informed business decisions through advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and actionable insights. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans for the Mortgage Servicing Channel.
  • Analyzes monthly financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior period results, identifying key drivers of variances
  • Operates as a subject matter expert for financial systems, data sources, forecasting methodologies, Key Performance Indicators, and reporting processes.
  • Leads monthly financial review process for Servicing leadership, preparing presentations and communicating key business trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conducts scenario, sensitivity, and capacity planning analyses to assess the financial impact of volume fluctuations, regulatory changes, delinquency, interest rate movements, and portfolio runoff.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements reporting automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and data accuracy.
  • Collaborates with Accounting to support month-end close activities, accrual analyses, expense allocations, and financial statement review.
  • Establishes controls and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of servicing, operational, and financial reporting.
  • Develops detailed financial models to evaluate the profitability impact and feasibility of proposed business initiatives.
  • Drives migration and adoption of new processes, tools, and systems integrations to enhance visibility into loan level economics, costs to service by loan type and stats, and controllable vs. uncontrollable losses
  • Creates ad hoc reports or analysis as requested by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting required, and preferably six (6) + years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Two (2) + years of experience as a Financial Analyst supporting Mortgage Servicing.
  • Mortgage industry experience required.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL, Oracle) including the ability to easily extract raw data is preferred.
  • Previous project management experience required.
  • This role requires a hybrid schedule based out of Plano, TX.


Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $106,000 and $132,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
