The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality software solutions in our PACF business unit. The scope of this job includes leading a team of engineers and technical experts, driving both technical and operational success, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a software development team by fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of key engineering projects, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to help shape the architecture, design, and implementation of software systems that adhere to engineering best practices, including code quality, automation testing, and documentation.
- Continuously assess and improve engineering processes from development workflows to deployment pipelines.
- Work closely with solution managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to define project requirements in alignment with business goals and address any blockers or technical challenges.
- Set clear goals for team members, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth.
- Leverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 4 - 6 years related work experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience of engineering teams.
- Strong comprehension of IBM i, RPGLE, DB2 SQL and full-stack application development.
- Hands on experience with Claude Code or similar AI tooling
- Knowledge of Application Security principles and frameworks (Oauth2 etc.).
- Experience working with Agile teams rolling out software versioning and hot fixes in the support of client requirements.
- Knowledge of DevOps, Pipelines, CI/CD and Automation using industry standard tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in Cloud native technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in healthcare.
- Prior integration with standards like HL7 and FHIR.
- GCP cloud native development.
