Full Job Description
Shape the content experience behind every great product experience

What if the right documentation could make every Coveo product easier to understand, implement, and use? As Manager, Documentation & Content, you'll lead an experienced team of eight technical writers responsible for one of Coveo's most visible product surfaces: our documentation and product content.

Your focus will be on people and delivery leadership: developing writers, setting clear priorities, managing capacity and tradeoffs, and strengthening partnerships across Product and Engineering. You'll also help evolve our approach to user experience content and continuously improve the documentation experience.

As our Manager, Documentation & Content, you will:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of eight technical writers, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating meaningful growth and ownership opportunities.
  • Own documentation delivery across Product, including intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and the proactive management of risks and tradeoffs.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product and Engineering, ensuring writers are involved at the right time and documentation commitments and priorities are clear.
  • Establish a sustainable user experience content practice encompassing interface copy, terminology, in-product guidance, and other product content in partnership with Product Design and Product Management.
  • Maintain practical standards for documentation quality and consistency while empowering writers to take ownership of their respective content areas.
  • Drive focused improvements to the documentation experience, including information architecture, navigation, content structure, and tooling, using customer feedback, analytics, search behavior, and artificial intelligence (AI) where they meaningfully improve quality or efficiency.

Here is what will qualify you for the role:
  • Experience managing and developing a team of technical writers or content professionals, including coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
  • Experience leading documentation for technical products used by developers, administrators, implementers, or other technical audiences.
  • Strong operational judgment and experience managing competing priorities, capacity, stakeholder needs, and delivery tradeoffs.
  • Strong documentation craft, editorial judgment, and communication skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity and build productive cross-functional relationships.

What will make you stand out:
  • Experience supporting user experience writing, terminology, in-product guidance, or other forms of product content.
  • Familiarity with documentation-as-code practices and modern documentation publishing workflows.
  • Experience improving information architecture, navigation, findability, or other aspects of a documentation experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise cloud solutions, developer platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs), software development kits (SDKs), or similarly technical products.
