What is the opportunity?

As Manager, under the guidance of the Director, Counterparty Credit Risk Exposure and Monitoring, you are responsible for monitoring, analysis and reporting of credit & settlement risk exposures in a timely and accurate fashion for a number or product types including foreign exchange & derivatives settlements, trading inventory, cash security pre-settlement risk & other trading products.

As Manager, you will also assist with streamlining and automating the team's oversight processes and monitoring. This would include development and coding efforts required to mechanize reporting streams and monitoring and adjudication tools for new and existing product categories.

What will you do?
  • Pro-actively investigate risks to provide clear and comprehensive analysis to senior management on risk trends and concerns
  • Analyze key trading strategies and products to ensure they are in line with risk tolerance and objectives
  • Aid in the review and recommendation for approval of specific/significant transactions to help facilitate business while ensuring proper risk controls
  • Investigate, document and appropriately report/escalate credit limit excesses as per internal policies inclusive of Conduct Risk
  • Work with trading and other key business contacts to ensure mutual understanding of credit risk metrics, processes, and limits
  • Develop tools to investigate and appropriately report/escalate credit limit excesses and exposure concerns
  • Develop, Code and generate tools that will enable the team to review periodic and ad-hoc credit risk reporting in a timely and accurate fashion. These tools will enable the team to readily identify, investigate and summarize notable risk trends that are to inevitably escalated (as appropriate) to management


What will you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 1-2 years of experience at a financial institution in a quantitative Risk Control function such as market or credit risk, with an understanding of capital markets trading products and related credit risk concepts
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject such as Finance, Economics, or other quantitative discipline
  • Good command and hands on experience with Excel, Python, VBA programming, SQL or equivalent programming languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines

  • FRM, PRMIA, or CFA
