Full Job Description
We're looking for our next Manager, Credit Modeling and Strategy. Could it be you?

Supporting the Senior Manager, Credit Modelling & Strategy, this role will be responsible for developing credit modeling and strategies for credit cards and other lending products. This will require in-depth modeling and credit strategy development work. The incumbent will develop credit models along with strategy based on NPV optimization. This role will be instrumental for launching new credit products.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Strategy Implementation Support: Assisting in the design, coding, and testing of credit strategies for various lending products and the full credit lifecycle of customers.
  • Supporting the development, execution and monitoring of credit strategies for adjudication, account management and transaction monitoring.
  • Identifying and defining data requirements from internal and external sources for credit modeling for new products.
  • Establishing applicable modeling techniques with rationale.
  • Designing optimization driven credit strategy framework instead of rules-based criteria.
  • Identifying and escalating material credit risks and trends.
  • Maintaining full documentation with appropriate version controls for all official models, strategy and policies.

  • Hold a University degree in a quantitative field, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
  • Have 4+ years of experience analyzing credit card data, developing credit modeling using statistical techniques and ML techniques
  • Have experience with developing credit strategies for adjudication, account management and transaction monitoring
  • Are highly proficient in data analysis tools (SAS, Python, R, SQL)
  • Have hands-on experience with credit model development using, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, GLM, Gradient Boosting and other modeling techniques
  • Have deep understanding of credit modeling along with strategy optimization based on NPV
  • Are familiar with decisioning platforms such as Triad, FICO DMP, Provenir, etc.
  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented and can initiate proactively
  • Are able to work independently and handle the pressure of tight timelines
  • Are able to draw conclusions and provide explanations to make recommendations based on analysis
  • Are a problem solver with analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Have leadership experience and a proven ability to collaborate with business leaders to drive analytically-based strategies
  • Have a strong work ethic, curious and persistent determination in reviewing and reconciling variances


Compensation Information:
  • Base salary range: $110,000 - $140,000
  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
