S'more about the team:

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for reporting and analytics for our Canadian RTE brand (Factor_) in areas such as menu health, COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), and operational performance. You will drive stakeholder engagement across various business partners including Planning, Procurement, Culinary, Product, Fulfillment, and Finance at all levels to uncover opportunities for improvement in process, reporting, and automation. You will define requirements and oversee the design and build of solutions, managing all aspects of program delivery, governance, and change management.

Additionally, you will lead the design and implementation of process and control frameworks to improve cost management and tracking, and strategically partner with procurement and sourcing leadership to assess, prioritize, and capture opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of all operational COGS and performance reports, dashboards, and scalable reporting tools for self-service analysis
  • Provide comprehensive financial and operational analysis, including in-depth variance explanations, period-end cost results reviews, and complex ad-hoc deep dives to identify systemic gaps and high-value margin improvement opportunities
  • Translate complex cost performance insights (e.g., menu/assortment planning, food waste, contracted rates, logistics efficiency) into actionable, measurable strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure execution and achievement of COGS reduction targets
  • Drive and act as the subject matter expert in COGS and procurement spend, supporting financial budgeting and long-term planning & forecasting
  • Collaborate with your manager to develop and own the strategic roadmap and execution for COGS, operational reporting capabilities, and data governance
  • Partner closely with your manager to ideate, scope, and lead the COGS program; a portfolio of high impact of cross-functional projects related to cost performance, including new systems onboarding, operational efficiency initiatives, and major product launches; while establishing program-level governance and change management processes
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to align on strategic priorities, promote the adoption of new solutions, and manage compliance across the organization
  • Establish and standardize best practices for COGS tracking, cost allocation methodologies, and control enforcement, ensuring alignment between local operational execution and centralized financial reporting standards
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • 6+ years of inventory, manufacturing, and/or supply chain operations with a strong understanding of financial reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and ability to communicate complex topics to business stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency within Google and Microsoft suite, particularly within Google Sheets & Excel
  • Experience querying data from relational databases using SQL
  • Experience automating reporting solutions using Python or other programming languages
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau is a plus
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude with a passion for numbers.
