Position Overview

The Manager of Corporate Development will drive strategic growth across the nuclear sector, leading initiatives that advance the company's mission to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative nuclear technologies and services. This role is highly visible and requires a blend of deep industry knowledge, strong financial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and commercial landscapes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels at identifying opportunities, shaping deals, and partnering with senior leaders to execute high-impact initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day as Manager of Corporate Development

  • Lead the full lifecycle of corporate development initiatives, strengthening the company's competitive position within the nuclear industry.
  • Conduct rigorous market, financial, and competitive analyses to surface growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.
  • Support and help manage all stages of due diligence, including financial modeling, valuation, risk assessment, and integration planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investment banks, consultants, advisors, and industry partners.
  • Monitor emerging trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics to ensure strategy is forward-looking and well-informed.
  • Prepare clear, compelling presentations and reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Nuclear Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, or strategic roles within the defense, nuclear or energy sector.

Pay: $86000 - $136000

The base salary range for this position in North Carolina (US-NC) at the start of employment is expected to be between $86000 and $136000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
