Department Overview

This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams by analyzing data streaming & mapping requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring Marketers have access to split-second decision-making via our Marketer Customer Data Platform (mCDP) Integration Services. The ideal candidate will gather complex business needs from marketing and product teams and translate them into technical specifications for our backend engineering teams. You will work closely with data engineers, architects, and software developers to implement effective data streaming solutions, API integrations, and scalable backend services that power critical customer engagement initiatives.

Duties

  • Requirement Translation & Gathering: Lead the end-to-end requirements gathering process, translating complex business needs into clear technical specifications for backend services, event-driven streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka), and scalable data processing.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison between marketing/business units and technical engineering teams. Engage closely with senior stakeholders and product owners to refine requirements and ensure alignment between business strategy and technical implementation.
  • Technical Documentation: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of comprehensive technical documentation, including data interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and integration requirements.
  • Project Leadership & Management: Lead technical project lifecycles within an Agile environment. Coordinate sprint planning, manage integration timelines, and ensure the timely delivery of reliable, high-performing mCDP capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, architects, and software developers to design, optimize, and document data pipelines and high-volume, low-latency data processing systems.
  • Platform Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the intersection of customer data platforms (CDP) and marketing technology tools, ensuring data accessibility, security, and usability for business users.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Technical Product Management.
  • Proven experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and Marketing Technology (MarTech) ecosystems (e.g., mParticle, Braze, Segment, Adobe Campaign, LiveRamp, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with modern backend services, microservices architectures, APIs, and cloud-native data pipelines (AWS, GCP).
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures and streaming data concepts (e.g., Kafka) is highly preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills, experience with data products/architectures/pipelines, and a strong understanding of customer data's role in marketing activation.Exposure to programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) for data analysis and technical troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, specification writing, and Agile software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between technical engineers and non-technical business teams is a must.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving and project management abilities

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $115,872.00 - $144,840.00 per year
