Purpose
The Manager, Business Intelligence & Insights for Global Banking Transaction Banking is responsible for leading the development and end-to-end delivery of business insights by partnering closely with business stakeholders, analytics engineering teams, and technology teams. The incumbent contributes to the overall success of GTB by transforming complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making in a timely and scalable manner.

The successful candidate brings strong technical, financial, and analytical expertise, along with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences up to and including Scotiabank executives. This individual is a dynamic and organized self-starter who thrives in environments of ambiguity, is highly detail-oriented, and operates effectively in a fast-paced setting. Strong leadership, business acumen, and an in-depth understanding of GTB products, services, and operations are essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify, prioritize, analyze, remediate, and escalate data and reporting issues as required.
  • Serve as a centre of excellence for GTB business, Product, and Payments analytics, acting as a trusted advisor on all matters related to data and analytics.
  • Ideate and develop best-in-class automation solutions and reporting tools to support Sales, Payments, and Product teams in effective portfolio management.
  • Partner closely with GTB Analytics Engineering and Advanced Analytics teams to solve complex business challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GTB business stakeholders across Sales, Product, Operations, Channels, and Strategy.
  • Collaborate with GBM Client Insights & Analytics, Commercial Banking Analytics, and Business Banking Analytics teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Incorporate the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture into day-to-day activities and decision-making.
