Description: This role develops, implements, and supports advanced analytical, machine learning, and forecasting solutions across Forecasting applications, with a primary focus on Commercial Demand. The Manager partners closely with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders to execute against defined forecasting strategies, translating business requirements into high-quality analytical solutions that improve planning, insight generation, and decision-making. This role emphasizes hands-on delivery, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration,

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:
  • Contribution to Analytical AI Community:
    • Contribute as part of a collaborative team of data scientists, forecasting SMEs, and machine learning practitioners.
    • Support the adoption of advanced forecasting approaches by demonstrating analytical rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
    • Actively contribute ideas and insights that improve forecasting processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Development, implementation, maintenance, and analysis of AAI Forecasting Solutions:
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models using statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques under established frameworks and standards.
  • Perform analyses on large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and drivers that inform forecasting outputs.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Analytics teams to translate business questions into analytical and forecasting solutions.
  • Monitor model performance and support continuous improvements in forecast accuracy and reliability.
  • Clearly communicate forecasting results, assumptions, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support experimentation efforts to validate model assumptions and enhance forecasting performance.
  • Maintain documentation for models, processes, and analytical workflows.


  • Execution and Best Practices Support:
    • Apply established best practices in forecasting, data science, and machine learning.
    • Stay informed on evolving analytical and forecasting techniques and support the adoption of relevant advancements within defined use cases.
    • Contribute to the scaling of standardized tools, templates, and processes across forecasting use cases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with analytics peers and business stakeholders to support forecasting deliverables.
  • Participate in the preparation, presentation, and discussion of forecasting outputs with cross-functional partners.
  • Support change adoption by explaining analytical approaches and building trust in models and results.
  • Performance Monitoring and Impact:
  • Support performance evaluation of forecasting solutions by contributing insights on accuracy, usability, and business impact.
  • Help identify opportunities for incremental improvements across deployed models and analytics outputs.


Qualifications/Degree/Certification/Licensure:
  • Educational Background: BA/BS required (quantitative area of study preferred). MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, Tableau, and MS Office Suite. Experience with Git and cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and/or experience in commercial forecasting is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to explain complex analyses and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in advanced analytics and data science. Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical forecasting is preferred.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience in operating large, complex projects with multi-functional team members.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $95,970 - $116,287

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays


Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible.
