Immigration Practice AssistantWe are searching for an experienced
Practice Assistant in our
New York City, Washington, DC, or
Philadelphia, PA office to support our
Immigration practice. This role will support attorneys, team members, and internal/external clients to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Prepare correspondence to clients.
- Open new client and new matter files using Firm software.
- Keep paper and electronic files for Professionals and clients; maintain email and electronic files using Firm software.
- Schedule appointments, manage and confirm the calendar for the Immigration Team; make travel arrangements; set-up conference calls and video meetings.
- Prepare and submit expense/reimbursement reports.
- Open and route mail and email, attaching appropriate files and documents.
- Liaise with document services for all document production projects.
- Keep abreast of changes to policy, law, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:- High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree, required.
- 3-5+ years' experience supporting a high-volume immigration team at a law firm, in a professional corporate setting, or in higher education.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Ability to organize/prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with candidates, clients and staff.
- Ability to problem-solve and anticipate issues/problems.
- Ability to work overtime, as needed.

Pay: $75,000 - 100,000 annually
*Pay ranges are provided in compliance with S9427A, New York's pay transparency law and S32-1453.01 Washington, DC's pay transparency law; actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including education, applicable experience, etc.
