Job Description SummaryAs the Materials Lean Leader for the Schenectady factory and warehouse, you will lead the development, execution, and sustainment of a Lean Materials Management Strategy aligned with our business targets. This role involves providing support and coaching across the manufacturing facility, driving product and process improvements, and delivering lead time and inventory reductions to support customer delivery. Your expertise will ensure the optimization of material delivery, warehouse picking, kitting processes, and the alignment of SAP/ERP systems with lean materials strategies.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a lean roadmap for the materials organization, aligned with the operations lean team.
- Drive continuous improvement in materials lean systems, including Value Stream Mapping and understanding material and information flow.
- Coach teams across all levels, from front line to executives, on lean materials systems.
- Plan and deliver materials projects & initiatives aligned with the strategic roadmap.
- Drive implementation of pull/kanban aligned with business targets.
- Own accountability for daily management, problem solving, and keeping the team on target with material flow improvements.
Qualifications/Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 additional years in Lean and/or Materials Management.
- Proficient in SAP/ERP systems and their application to lean materials strategies.
Desired Characteristics:- A change agent with strong credibility and influence within the organization.
- Extensive lean materials experience, including standard work, material presentation, supermarkets, flow, pull, waterspider routes, heijunka, and kanban.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing disciplines and inventory management.
- Demonstrated commitment to process improvement.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification.
The base pay range for this position is
$104,600.00 - 174,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible
for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
