General Summary of Position:
The Manager of Warehouse Innovation is responsible for driving technological Improvements within the warehouse with the objective of Improve efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing reporting and bettering Granite's customer experience. This role blends operational expertise with long term strategic thinking, focuses on process optimization and Implementing sustainable systems to support growth of the "Managed Warehouse" Granite Service offering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Innovation Strategy: Develop and implement innovation strategies for warehouse operations, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology integration
• Process Optimization: Analyze current warehouse workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design innovative solutions to improve throughput, accuracy, and safety
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: The warehouse staff should be developed into a more agile, cross-trained, multi-disciplined team capable of shifting function with the evolving need of each project.
• Training & Documentation: Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and establish strong documentation to support the onboarding of new teammates and convey process expectations to IT groups to better implement enhancements.
• Performance Measurement: Establish Key performance indices for each of the warehouse teams and ensure regular reporting infrastructure
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including advanced use of Excel & reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency in Granite's key operational software including: Salespad, Cornerstone, Connectwise, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Salesforce and
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with process automation, or incorporating AI into business practices
• Knowledge of industry trends in warehousing and supply chain innovation.
• Given the many unique Granite / Telephony Industry attributes of this role, prior experience in a telecom environment is highly preferred.
Work Environment:
• On-site warehouse operations with occasional travel.
• Requires ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic, ever-changing environments.
