About The Role

The Lead Technical Program Manager, New Products Introduction (NPI) serves as the leading technical interface and program execution engine for parallel product launches at ZT's Texas manufacturing facility. As ZT expands its global footprint, this role leads the local replication of our proven NPI team structure in Texas—bringing local engineering depth, program management discipline, and cross-functional leadership to ensure new hyperscale server, storage, and AI GPU platforms ramp into production with speed, precision, and uncompromised quality.

Reporting into global NPI leadership, you will lead the local team of technical program managers and engineers in Texas while serving as the primary technical interface between the TX NPI workstream and our global NPI organization. In this role, you will lead and collaborate on efforts to build a unified, global NPI roadmap that comprehensively plans product launches across ZT's global campus network. You will continuously adapt, improve, and contribute to global NPI standards, frameworks, and management systems—ensuring local factory execution aligns with global operational excellence while driving continuous improvement.

As a technical lead, you will act as a thought partner and technical navigator for the Texas NPI organization. You will evaluate technical requirements for complex programs, orchestrate local factory readiness, drive rapid issue resolution, and coach/mentor local technical program managers and engineers to cultivate engineering excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the key technical interface between the Texas NPI team and our global NPI organization, driving seamless bi-directional communication, technical alignment, and cross-site synergy.
  • Lead and collaborate on efforts to establish a unified, global NPI roadmap that comprehensively plans and integrates parallel NPI programs across ZT's global manufacturing footprint.
  • Adapt, improve, and contribute to our global NPI standards, management systems, and best practices, embedding proven processes into the Texas factory while driving continuous process refinement and operational excellence.
  • Lead the local Texas team of technical program managers in developing and executing comprehensive launch plans, milestone schedules, and resource allocation strategies for complex, parallel customer programs.
  • Drive site-level capacity planning and readiness systems in close collaboration with global operations readiness, global industrial engineering, and local plant leadership to ensure full support of the NPI roadmap.
  • Lead comprehensive manufacturing preparation activities and CRE (Concept Realization Engine) cycle management locally to rapidly harden new products and processes, meeting aggressive time-to-market (TTM) and quality targets.
  • Evaluate technical program requirements and engage NPI, manufacturing, and test engineering stakeholders in developing risk assessments (DFMs, DFTs, PFMEAs) and site-level manufacturing readiness reviews.
  • Coordinate local engineering and production testing activities for pre-production and production builds, balancing program priorities and resolving schedule, material, or equipment trade-offs.
  • Proactively identify critical program issues and lead cross-functional technical teams (engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain) in rapid troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and schedule recovery planning.
  • Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate program health, technical risks, and launch status clearly and succinctly to local plant leadership, global NPI leadership, and executive audiences.
  • Coach, mentor, and nurture local Texas team members, instilling rigor in technical program execution, promoting a growth mindset, and facilitating a culture of continuous learning.

What You Bring

The right person for this role is an agent of change and has exceptional analytical capabilities, thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, is a good communicator, and is passionate about enabling the future of cloud computing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or technical management discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant technical program management or engineering experience in a high-reliability manufacturing environment (or 6+ years with a Master's degree).
  • Demonstrated track record of leading complex hardware NPI programs, high-velocity product launches, or parallel production ramps.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware fundamentals, production testing, firmware, and hyperscale compute/storage architectures.
  • Proven ability to serve as a key technical interface between regional plant execution teams and global corporate organizations, fostering alignment across distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in process documentation, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement / Lean initiatives to drive manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Proficiency with structured problem solving, data analytics, and business intelligence tools (Python, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or equivalents) to evaluate operational metrics.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex, data-driven technical topics into clear overviews, actionable recommendations, and executive status reports.
