Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead ETL / Snowflake Developer to drive the design, development, and execution of our enterprise cloud data architecture. In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers, architect robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and optimize our Snowflake Data Cloud ecosystem. You will serve as the technical authority for data integration, warehousing best practices, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration with analytics and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Development: Design and build scalable secure and fault-tolerant ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest structured and semi-structured data into Snowflake.
Team Leadership: Technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship for junior and mid-level data engineers.
Snowflake Optimization: Manage compute resources optimize storage costs, and implement auto-scaling and clustering strategies.
Data Pipelines Orchestration: Automate complex workflows using native Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams) alongside orchestration engines
Data Modeling: Design star/snowflake schemas, Data Vault, or dimensional models aligned with business reporting needs.
Performance Tuning: Monitor Query Profiles, refactor complex SQL/stored procedures, and ensure sub-second response times for analytics workloads.
Governance Security: Implement Role-Based Access Control Object Tagging, Dynamic Data Masking, and secure data sharing across enterprise teams.
Required Qualifications Skills
Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering/ETL Development, with at least 3+ years specifically in a technical leadership capacity.
Snowflake Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with core Snowflake features
Advanced SQL Scripting: Expert proficiency in complex SQL, window functions, and procedure scripting in Python, JavaScript, or SQL Stored Procedures
Ecosystem Tools: Proven track record with dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Talend, or Informatica, alongside cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Architect certifications.
CI/CD DevOps: Hands-on experience with version control and infrastructure-as-code deployment pipeline
Streaming Data: Knowledge of real-time data streaming technologies into Snowflake
