Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES:                            Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications using Python and Bash scripting; perform container orchestration, cluster design, and cluster management using Kubernetes and AWS ECS; administer AWS cloud infrastructure, including AWS managed services and AWS marketplace solutions; perform metrics collection and visualization, centralized logging, application performance monitoring (APM), and tracing using Grafana; perform configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Formation; create CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and AWS Code Deploy; perform Linux systems administration; administer cloud-native networking components, including AWS ALB, AWS NLB, HAProxy, and Nginx for load balancing, traffic routing, and proxies; configure load balancing and message passing using Envoy Proxy, gRPC, and protobuf; administer Aerospike databases; utilize ArgoCD and Argo Workflows for continuous container deployment and managing workflows; develop programmatic advertising technology using OpenRTB and VAST protocols; design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems; collect product requirements, organize and host scrum events (sprint planning, daily progress meetings, and retrospectives) to ensure products are delivered according to schedule; help shape business and technical strategies; initialize, design, and develop new technical tools; support customer deployments, integrations, expansion projects, and internal initiatives; support production issues raised by customers by identifying the root cause and providing a reasonable fix plan; check and improve data infrastructure system alerts on premises and on AWS; serve as the technical focal point for escalations and feedback relating to any production issues; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS:            Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience developing software and web applications using Python and Bash scripting; administering AWS cloud infrastructure, including AWS managed services and AWS marketplace solutions; performing metrics collection and visualization using Grafana; performing Linux systems administration; administering cloud-native networking components, including HAProxy, and Nginx for load balancing, traffic routing, and proxies; of which five (5) years include performing configuration management using Ansible; creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; of which one (1) year includes performing container orchestration, cluster design, and cluster management using Kubernetes and AWS ECS; performing centralized logging, application performance monitoring (APM), and tracing using Grafana; performing configuration management using Terraform and Cloud Formation; creating CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeDeploy; administering cloud-native networking components including AWS ALB and AWS NLB; configuring load balancing and message passing using Envoy Proxy, gRPC, and protobuf; administering Aerospike databases; utilizing ArgoCD for continuous container deployment; and working with OpenRTB and VAST protocols.
