Full Job Description
About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the identity and entitlement platform that powers how people and households are modeled across Gen's family of consumer brands. This is a foundational, platform-level role: you'll define how members, roles, and access are structured, and build the architecture that lets multiple product teams build on top of it rather than solve the same problem independently.
You'll work at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and multiple brand product teams - translating complex technical tradeoffs into a system that's simple, secure, and built to last. This role is ideal for someone who thinks in systems, writes requirements engineering can build from without hand-holding, and can drive alignment across teams without formal authority over them.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Ownership & Architecture
• Own the requirements for the shared identity and entitlement model - how members, roles, and access are defined and how that structure scales.
• Make platform decisions that other teams build on, understanding that early choices are hard to unwind later.
• Build and maintain a roadmap that reflects technical feasibility, cross-team demand, and long-term extensibility.
Cross-Functional Execution
• Serve as the connective tissue across engineering and multiple product teams, each with their own priorities and context.
• Run cross-team alignment conversations, know when to escalate versus resolve, and keep decisions moving without owning every team involved.
Requirements & Specification
• Write PRDs that engineering teams can build from without a follow-up meeting for every edge case.
• Close open architectural decisions rather than leaving them for someone else to resolve later.
Communication and Stakeholder Alignment
• Communicate platform strategy and tradeoffs clearly to audiences ranging from engineers to senior leadership.
• Write crisply - specs, strategy memos, and executive updates that people actually read and act on.
About You:
Required
• 5-8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time owning platform or infrastructure products - identity, entitlements, licensing, access management, or similar. Consumer feature work alone isn't sufficient for this role.
• Strong technical fluency - comfortable reading API contracts and data models, and reasoning about platform decisions with long-term consequences.
• Demonstrated track record driving cross-functional alignment across teams you don't control.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication - able to write clearly for technical and non-technical audiences and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
Strongly Preferred
• Experience building a platform capability that was adopted by multiple product teams or business units, not just your own.
• Background specifically in identity, access management, or entitlement/licensing systems.
• Experience operating in a multi-brand or multi-business-unit company, navigating competing priorities across teams.
