ABOUT THE TEAMWe are seeking a skilled Lead, IT Hardware Procurement with 2-4 years of experience in purchasing IT equipment and owning forecasts. This role involves vendor management, strategic planning, and inventory forecasting within IT Asset Management (ITAM). The Lead, IT Hardware Procurement play a critical role in maintaining healthy inventory levels, supplier relationships, and budget.
ABOUT THE JOBWHAT YOU'LL DO- IT Equipment Procurement: Source and purchase IT equipment, including hardware, peripherals, and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues or discrepancies. Collaborate with Supply Chain team to conduct RFI/RFQ and supplier audits.
- Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with ITAM and other departments to forecast IT equipment needs, ensuring alignment with budget and project timelines.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the IT procurement budget, ensuring cost-efficient purchasing. Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting to monitor budget adherence and AP schedule.
- Procurement Strategy: Utilize market research and deployment data to develop comprehensive procurement strategies, optimizing spend to secure prime rates.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of procurement coordinators in daily operations, ensuring timely and consistent service to internal stakeholders.
- Policy Development: With ITAM leadership, develop and implement policies, supporting good financial stewardship, fair distribution, and sustainable growth.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in buying IT equipment and services.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, planning, and forecasting skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP tools. Oracle Fusion experience preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement principles and best practices. Experience in IT Asset Management &/OR Finance strongly preferred
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in procurement or IT asset management are a plus.
- Preferred experience with asset management systems like Oomnitza.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
US Salary Range
$99,000-$130,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
