About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager to drive strategy, roadmap, adoption, and business outcomes for the enterprise Developer Tools portfolio within Development Enablement.

This role owns the vision and lifecycle of developer tools and productivity capabilities including AI-assisted software development, integrated development environments (IDEs), developer portals, security tooling used by thousands of engineers across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of product ownership expertise, software engineering knowledge, developer experience (DevEx) principles, and strategic leadership to modernize software delivery and accelerate engineering productivity.


In this role, you will:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Developer Tools product.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives, developer needs, modernization goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and track product KPIs, adoption metrics, modernization outcomes, developer productivity measures, and customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Gather customer feedback from engineering teams and translate insights into product enhancements and roadmap priorities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted development capabilities, and engineering automation opportunities that can enhance developer productivity.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, business value, risks, and outcomes to senior technology leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate technology strategy, developer needs, and industry trends into measurable product outcomes.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and Operations leaders to align priorities and investments.
  • Own and prioritize a portfolio of developer tools, platforms, and services.
  • Lead tool rationalization, modernization, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Manage product investment plans, business cases, vendor relationships, and financial optimization opportunities.
  • Continuously improve developer satisfaction, productivity, and onboarding experiences.
  • Establish adoption strategies and success metrics across engineering organizations.
  • Leverage usage analytics, productivity insights, and developer feedback to guide roadmap decisions.
  • Drive change management, communications, training, and enablement programs.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple products, platforms, and stakeholder groups.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong product ownership experience with enterprise software platforms, developer Tools, frameworks, or shared technology services. 
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes aligned to business objectives. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence engineering leaders, architects, developers, and executive leadership without direct authority. 
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, including definition and tracking of product KPIs, OKRs, and adoption metrics. 
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, developer productivity platforms, Agent Skills, Copilot, automation tooling, and modern engineering practices is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, remove organizational impediments, and drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders. 
  • Technical background in software engineering, architecture, or platform engineering preferred.
  • Experience with software engineering, application development, or platform engineering.
  • Knowledge of Developer Experience (DevEx) principles and developer productivity frameworks.
