Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Cloud Ops / AWS DevOps Engineer to support and scale a modern B2B SaaS platform in an AWS-heavy, cloud-native environment. This is primarily a DevOps and Cloud Operations role rather than a traditional Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) position. Initial responsibilities will focus on operational support, ticket resolution, production troubleshooting, and immediate DevOps needs, with opportunities to take ownership of larger automation, infrastructure, scalability, and deployment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Support containerized applications running on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop, customize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Manage Helm charts and application and container deployments.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions primarily using Python.
• Support distributed, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and operational issues.
• Handle ticket-driven operational support and firefighting activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual operational processes.
• Improve infrastructure scalability, reliability, and deployment capabilities.
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations, SRE, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Strong experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Helm charts and application/container deployments.
• Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Experience supporting distributed, multi-tenant systems and SaaS applications.
• Strong hands-on Cloud/DevOps experience in production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud infrastructure and application environments.
• Experience providing operational support and resolving production issues in ticket-driven environments.
