Job Description

The IT Service & Delivery Manager owns the day-to-day technology experience for every Butterfly Network employee. This position leads the IT Service & Delivery Team and is responsible for the helpdesk and service desk operation (Jira Service Management), end-user device lifecycle from procurement through deployment, redeployment, and retirement, and the administration of Butterfly's core SaaS application portfolio, including identity, access, onboarding/offboarding, and license management. The role includes IT procurement and vendor management for hardware and software, maintaining the approved hardware catalog, negotiating renewals, tracking spend against budget, and partnering with Finance and Security on purchasing and approval workflows. The manager defines and reports on service levels, drives ticket volume down through automation, self-service documentation, and root-cause fixes, and ensures endpoint and SaaS configurations meet the company's security and compliance requirements in partnership with the CISO. This is a hands-on leadership role: the ideal candidate has run a modern, cloud-first IT function, is comfortable working tickets alongside the team, communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and a small team supports the whole company.
Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
  • 7-10 years in IT and business/industry
  • Partners with the Butterfly Technology leaders to develop the technology infrastructure strategy and execution for the enterprise.
  • Planning, project management and implementation leadership, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
  • Develops the technology management capabilities of the organization, managing and developing existing staff as well as recruitment.
  • Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation, and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company's requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain enterprise standards and adhere to the IT operations governance process.
  • Works closely with and manages strategic SaaS vendor relationships.
  • Leads with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation in complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.
  • Experience with high-availability architecture and multi-data center / cloud operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly available server and network architectures.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of leadership responsibilities
  • Experience in business/industry (beyond IT), managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
  • Experience with Azure, Google Workspace, AnyDesk, Intune, Atlassian & JAMF is preferred

Location

Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. This is an in-office position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.

Compensation

Our estimated salary for this role is around $130,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
