Clinical Sales, Executive Nursing (Central)
Job Description

Reporting to our Director, Enterprise Sales (East, Central, or West), the Clinical Sales Executive, Nursing is a quota-carrying sales role responsible for closing new business and driving adoption of Butterfly's point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) platform among nursing teams in hospitals and health systems. You will bring firsthand nursing experience to the sales process, using your clinical credibility with nurse end-users and nursing leadership to build a pipeline, run the full sales cycle, and win new customers within your assigned region.

In this role, you will:
  • Establish and maintain credibility with nurses, nurse executives, clinical leaders, educators, professional associations, and healthcare organizations.
  • Represent the company at major nursing and healthcare conferences, association meetings, roundtables, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with influential nursing leaders and develop a network of clinical champions.
  • Monitor emerging trends in nursing practice, workforce challenges, clinical technology, care delivery, and healthcare policy.
  • Bring the voice of the nursing community back into the company to inform product, marketing, sales, and strategy.
  • Participate in professional organizations and cultivate relationships with national and regional nursing associations.
  • Pursue opportunities to speak, moderate panels, participate in advisory boards, write thought-leadership content, and contribute to industry discussions.
  • Own and consistently deliver against an individual sales quota for your assigned region (East, Central, or West), including new-logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of nursing and hospital prospects, and lead deals from initial engagement through negotiation and close.
  • Serve as the clinical and product expert to nursing audiences, delivering hands-on demonstrations of Butterfly's POCUS platform for bladder scanning and vascular access applications that translate clinical value into a compelling business case.
  • Partner with the Director, Enterprise Sales, Regional Vice Presidents, and account teams to identify, engage, and close nursing stakeholders and decision-makers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build trusted relationships with bedside nurses, nursing leadership, and clinical education teams to drive product evaluation, trials, and purchasing decisions.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting, and deliver field and competitive feedback to sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Travel up to 75% within your assigned region (East, Central, or West) to support demonstrations, trials, and customer relationships.
Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted nursing license and an RN degree (ADN, BSN, or higher).
  • Practicing as an RN, in a clinical bedside or clinical education setting, within the past 5 years.
  • Proven track record of carrying and consistently meeting or exceeding a sales quota, closing new business, and winning new customers.
  • Comfortable presenting to and building rapport with nursing and clinical audiences, including hands-on product demonstrations that lead to a sale.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, with the ability to manage a full sales cycle independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within your assigned region.
  • Based near a major airport hub within your assigned region (East, Central, or West).

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it's ok if you don't!):
  • Currently practicing as an RN in a clinical setting, even in a limited or per-diem capacity.
  • Hands-on clinical experience performing bladder scans and/or vascular access ultrasound-guided placement.
  • Prior experience in medical device or capital equipment sales, particularly selling into hospital or nursing departments.
