IT Applications Specialist - ATM
Position Overview:
This is an in-office/onsite position for an IT Applications Specialist acting as a subject matter expert in the ATM application ecosystem. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, updating, integrating, testing and operational support of the organization’s ATMs and self-service terminal software. Including building low-code/no-code solutions, supporting implementations, and documenting system functionality, processes, and technical decisions.
Essential Responsibilities:
• 35% Under general supervision:
o Execute day-to-day specialized technology functions such as user management,
o license management, role/profile setups, permissions, and public groups.

o Apply system updates and procedures to improve existing application processes.
• 25% Application Support & Problem Solving:
o Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for production systems, responding to incidents and diagnosing technical issues.
o Troubleshoot software errors investigate system bugs, review application logs, and resolve end-user or operational issues.
o Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
o Monitor application health, interfaces, and system integrations.
o Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Helix).
o Serve as an on-call responder for team-supported software as required.
• 15% Business Analysis:
o Analyze identified gaps in processes, workflows, and offer ideas or solutions for improvement in areas that require improvement or remediation.
o Collect data for user requests, scope impact, and provide project estimates.
o Participate in product backlog refinement and prioritization.
• 15% Coordination, Testing, & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Coordinate application upgrades, releases/CRQ changes, testing, and deployment schedules.
o Test and execute software patches, version updates and hotfixes in staging environments before production rollouts.
o Serve as a technical liaison between business partners, software engineers, DBAs, third-party vendor partners, and other IT teams.
o Assist with user training and monitor post-implementation adoption.
• 10% Documentation & Continuous Improvement:
o Develop and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, SharePoint knowledge base articles, and user manuals.
o Evaluate emerging tools, processes, and industry trends to enhance application efficiency.
Required experience and education: Bachelor's degree. Acceptable fields of study: Software Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analysis, and Engineering.
• Additional four years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required relevant experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT Application Support or Administration
Required Skills:
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Proficient and dedicated to writing testable scripts, documentations, and requirements.
• Exposure to scripting, reporting/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Splunk), PowerShell, SOAP/REST APIs is a plus.
• Comfortable with specific products, platform, or system the solution uses.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies, and ITIL Incident/Problem Management.
• Must have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Collaborative and team player attitude with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Must be able to confidently interact with technical, non-technical, and management staff.
• Must be able to assist with the review and refinement of the product backlog, sometimes contributing to setting priority.
• Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by the manager.
• Must be able to speak English fluently.
Desired skills:
• Bachelor's degree.
• ITIL Foundation v3/v4 or Vendor specific certifications (Diebold, Hyosung).
• Desired relevant experience 2 - 5 years.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with ATM software and hardware
• Experience working with SCRUM and Agile
• Working knowledge of Helix
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Onsite position requires in-person training and meeting attendance.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer or telephone.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs.
