Full Job Description
Your role and responsibilities:

As an IT Application Specialist at Xanadu, you'll play a key role integrating and administering applications, supporting IT operations and front-line technical support across the organization. You'll be involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, setting up new equipment, managing user access, and helping ensure smooth IT operations.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Administer and integrate the company's core SaaS and collaboration platforms - identity, communication, documentation, and project-tracking tools.
  • Integrate NetSuite (ERP) with other business applications - building and maintaining data flows between NetSuite and systems such as identity/SSO, procurement, expense, HR, and reporting tools using NetSuite's REST/SuiteTalk APIs, SuiteScript, and webhooks.
  • Build and maintain integrations between systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth; automate repetitive workflows with light scripting (Python/Bash).
  • Own user lifecycle automation - provisioning, group/role-based access, and deprovisioning - so joiner/mover/leaver changes propagate cleanly across connected systems.
  • Support single sign-on and directory-driven access (SAML/OIDC, SCIM), aligned to least-privilege.
  • Support specialized scientific and engineering applications used across the company, partnering with the teams that depend on them.
  • Provide hands-on support across our full endpoint fleet: macOS, Linux, and Windows - setup, configuration, troubleshooting, updates, and break/fix.
  • Handle hardware and peripheral support: laptops, displays, docks, conferencing/AV, printers.
  • Run device provisioning for onboarding and offboarding - imaging, enrollment, account setup, and clean device recovery.
  • Be a first point of contact in our support channel, triaging and resolving day-to-day requests and owning each ticket end-to-end rather than handing it off.
  • Maintain clear, current documentation and runbooks.
  • Deliver end-to-end IT operations and support, including endpoint management, user lifecycle administration, hardware/software deployment, application support, troubleshooting, documentation, inventory management, and day-to-day technical assistance across the organization.

Basic qualifications and experience:
  • Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related IT position.
  • Hands-on support experience across all three OS flavors we run: macOS, Linux, and Windows.
  • Experience administering common business SaaS platforms (identity/SSO, collaboration, and productivity tools).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating NetSuite with other business applications (e.g., via SuiteTalk/REST, SuiteScript, or an iPaaS connector).
  • Practical scripting ability (Python and/or Bash) and comfort working with REST APIs to connect or automate systems.
  • Solid grasp of identity and access fundamentals: SSO, directory/group-based access, provisioning, and least-privilege.
  • A genuine service mindset and end-to-end ownership.
  • Familiarity with basic networking and cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure/high-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Willingness to be part of on-call rotation and weekend IT related activities

Preferred qualifications and experience:
  • Exposure to provisioning/SCIM, an IdP (e.g., JumpCloud or similar), or iPaaS/workflow-automation tooling.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite administration or SuiteScript development beyond integration (saved searches, workflows, custom records).
  • Familiarity with cloud access models (e.g., AWS IAM/identity).
  • Any exposure to CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code (GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform/OpenTofu).
  • Awareness of access-review/compliance practices (e.g., SOC 2 / ITGC).
