Hiring Salary Range: $89,250.00-137,200.00 / year



Job Function:

Lead a team to deliver data related services by setting the overall strategy including governance and technology standards for API use. Oversee and manage day-to-day operation activities in Enablement, Service Delivery, DevOps, Citizenship Development; including but not limited to backlog prioritization, escalation, strategy, value casing and driving the adoption of DevOps toolchains across the Pod teams. Responsible for managing the performance of the portfolio of solutions in the team such as Salesforce, Mendix, Dynamics, etc. Responsible for creating and maintaining the SLA's, SLO's and SLI's for the portfolio of solutions in the team. Manages the team's resources and provides guidance for onboarding Services Information System (SIS) and partners. Accountable for the quality of the design and the development of team assets such as services, integration and data architectures. Collaborate with other ISD stakeholders to develop integrations in support of Business Solutions.

Job Description:

Specific Accountabilities

  1. Set the overall team strategy including governance and technology standards in alignment with the Information Services Division's (ISD's) goals, objectives, and strategies. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  2. Oversee and manage day-to-day operation activities for the team, including but not limited to backlog prioritization, escalation, strategy, value casing, etc. and drives the adoption of DevOps toolchains across the ISD teams.
  3. Provide expertise in application development, agile methodology, API architecture and solution as needed. Provide the appropriate direction and guidance to direct reports to ensure the expected quality and accuracy of work.
  4. Manage the team's resources and provide guidance for onboarding Services Information System (SIS) and partners. Accountable for the quality of the design and the development of assets.
  5. Responsible for the performance of the suite of the team's applications such as Salesforce, Mendix, Dynamics, etc.
  6. Create and maintain the SLA's, SLO's and SLI's with respect to the portfolio of solutions in the team.
  7. Lead project management and governance activities where participants provide updates on work status, risks/issues, and mitigation/resolution plans regarding scope, budget, time, and resource availability.
  8. Collaborate with other ISD stakeholders (e.g. Pods) to develop integrations in support of Business Solutions.
  9. Perform other duties as required.

Managerial Accountabilities
  1. Manage and motivate direct reports, other staff, and contractors to deliver high-quality services to achieve capitalization rates within budget and schedule.
  2. Translate and communicate ISD's goals, objectives, and strategies to direct reports, other staff, and contractors in the context of the team to ensure optimization roadmaps and other initiatives achieve desired outcomes.
  3. Cultivate a work environment for direct reports, other staff, and contractors that enables the appropriate behaviours to achieve high productivity, engagement, and collaboration.
  4. Be accountable for the output of direct reports (e.g., set expectations, priorities, and context; ensure compliance with required legal and regulatory requirements and Hydro One and business unit policies and procedures; conduct succession planning, performance reviews and provide direction on problem areas; support career development; provide effective recommendations concerning promotions, transfers, pay, disciplinary action of staff within the department per collective agreements, etc.).
  5. Resolve technical, business and personnel issues; and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner to Supervisor for advice, instruction, or direction.
  6. Perform other managerial duties as required.
