This role operates within the build flow from component test through system configuration and system test, ensuring devices are correctly configured, integrated, and verified against defined requirements.

The technician executes network configuration, software deployment, and test procedures while supporting automation, troubleshooting, and data capture efforts. This role works closely with engineering teams to ensure reliable, repeatable system performance across lab and production environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and assign IPv4 addresses to devices per defined network plans
  • Execute network connectivity tests (e.g., ping, traceroute) to validate system communication
  • Follow work instructions to configure modems, routers, embedded systems, and test hardware
  • Perform system bring-up, configuration, and validation in lab and production environments
  • Interpret and apply network topologies (subnets, VLANs, gateways, routing paths)
  • Automate workstation provisioning and configuration using Ubuntu/Linux and Ansible
  • Use Linux CLI tools, PowerShell, and Bash for configuration, scripting, and diagnostics
  • Deploy and manage software packages across systems and devices
  • Work with Docker containers for application setup, execution, and environment consistency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across:
    • Network configuration
    • Automation scripts
    • Integrated system behavior in test environments

    • Executing test procedures
    • Verifying system functionality and connectivity
    • Capturing and documenting test results
  • Analyze and organize test data to support engineering validation and program deliverables
  • Document test procedures, configuration steps, automation workflows, and troubleshooting processes
  • Capture and escalate issues with clear diagnostic data and reproduction steps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve:
    • System reliability
    • Test repeatability
    • Configuration and deployment efficiency

Minimum Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of IPv4 networking fundamentals
    • IP addressing, subnetting, gateways, DNS basics
  • Familiarity with network topologies (LAN, VLANs, routed environments)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Linux operating systems (CLI required)
    • Command-line networking tools (ping, ip/ifconfig, netstat, etc.)
    • PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
  • Exposure to automation tools (Ansible preferred)
  • Basic experience with Docker or containerized environments
  • Ability to follow structured procedures while independently troubleshooting system issues

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in integration and test environments, lab systems, or manufacturing setups
  • Exposure to RF systems and components, including:
    • Basic understanding of signal chains (Tx/Rx)
    • Familiarity with gain, power levels, and signal behavior
    • Experience working with power amplifiers, receivers, or RF test equipment
  • Experience configuring modems, routers, or network appliances
  • Familiarity with software deployment processes and version control workflows
  • Experience with SSH, remote device management, and serial interfaces
