ABOUT THE TEAMAnduril's IT Systems team builds the systems that keep our internal customers (the engineers, operators, and back-office teams across Anduril) productive. We're looking for a Systems Engineer to help us automate IT processes end-to-end: turning manual, ticket-driven work into reliable software, applying AI where it makes sense, and shipping self-service tools that let employees resolve common issues without ever opening a ticket.
ABOUT THE JOBThe work is split roughly between two outcomes. First, increasing service desk agent efficiency by building automations, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows that take routine tasks off our agents' plates so they can focus on the harder problems. Second, providing self-service automations to internal customers: employee-facing tools that handle common requests (access, provisioning, lifecycle changes, troubleshooting) instantly and safely. This is a role with wide berth. You'll have the latitude to design, build, and implement solutions that materially improve service quality and operational efficiency for the entire company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Design and build automations that take repetitive work off of IT Service Desk, from account provisioning and access requests to common troubleshooting flows, applying AI (LLMs, agents, classification, summarization) where it produces a real efficiency gain.
- Ship self-service tools that let internal customers resolve common IT requests on their own, safely and without waiting on a human agent.
- Build creative custom applications and automations that extend the tools and applications we own.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of experience in IT Engineering.
- Experience managing productivity, collaboration, and design tools.
- Adept in leveraging a programming language, including Python, Go, Rust, etc.
- Proven success in developing end-user applications and workflow automations for end-to-end continuous integration solutions using REST APIs and Webhooks.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex projects.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve user issues, and work autonomously to identify and solve problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operating production services.
- Experience applying AI/LLMs to internal tooling, support workflows, or agent-assist use cases.
- Experience conducting security architecture or design reviews around custom business applications.
- Experience implementing onboarding and off-boarding automations for an enterprise at scale.
- Background of supporting complex initiatives across applications.
- Familiarity with one or more infrastructure as code languages (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK) in a production capacity.
