Eurofins EAG Materials Science is seeking a Technical Specialist with a strong background in surface analysis (e.g. SIMS) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to transition into a role that blends technical expertise with customer engagement and strategic problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: • Support lead management with CRM administration. • Serve as technical liaison for surface analysis requests. • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored surface analytical solutions. • Prepare detailed proposals and quotes, including statements of work. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. • Support the sales team by maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to revenue growth. Qualifications • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. • Materials Characterization experience in semiconductor industry, especially surface analysis. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient listener with strong analytical and judgment capabilities. • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. • Technically adept and computer literate. What would set you apart?: Standout candidates combine a high throughput sales approach for servicing semiconductor clients requiring surface analysis. • Example materials characterization experience may include surface analysis (e.g. SIMS or TOF-SIMS). • Demonstrated ability to translate client needs into an executable lab scope (assumptions, deliverables, turnaround, and success criteria) and contribute to proposals/quotes/SOWs. • Comfortable supporting peer-to-peer technical conversations with clients on experimental design, data interpretation, and next-step recommendations. • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent requests and drive outcomes under firm deadlines. Physical requirements: 1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 2. Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours). 3. Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.) 4. Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead 5. Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting. 6. Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
